It won't help you if you are having the same problem that I am having (I was hoping maybe they included that in OUTLOOK but not the case with this version from what I am seeing, am having the exact same send problem there as in OE. OUTLOOK2000 has the exact same account option interface for setting SSL, no option for TLS, STARTTLS, SSL/TLS.

(2) But do not waste your time installing full OUTLOOK2000 hoping for a workaround. Best to set the option to leave emails on the server when receiving though if you want to retrieve them with both, otherwise the one you SEND/RECIEVE first will delete the email b4 you get to download it in the other program (that should be obvious but if you don't realize that it could be a problem for you). And there are many things you can to do import your OE accounts/addresses, emails, etc.

(1) You can install OUTLOOK2000 on PC with OUTLOOK EXPRESS no problem, they coexist fine as far as installing OUTLOOK not automatically removing OE or disabling it. My PCs are old & using OUTLOOK EXPRESS which does not mention "TLS", only "SSL" in the configuration option, which if I understand it correctly are not exactly the same thing.ĭoes anyone know if regular/full OUTLOOK from OFFICE 2000 supports "TLS" or just "SSL" like OUTLOOK EXPRESS does? If I knew for sure that it did I would install it & use that instead of OE, but I am afraid to install it, find it does not work either, and that it has screwed up my OE setup which at least works now for all my Verizon/AOL accounts for receiving at least.Answering my own question in case anyone else in same situation was wondering same things. My work around is to relay outgoing emails through another server, but I would prefer not to do that. They are using the recommended port 465 with SSL. Now, both can receive email, but both fail to send. So, I started using the One Time Use passwords on AOL and assigning the Mac and PC their own passwords for AOL.
Then I found out once that "Less secure applications" option was no longer available, my Outlook 2019 PC failed to check or send mail. I also tried toggling the "Use less secure applications" feature on AOL off and back on, and found out that once it was turned off, you can't turn it back on even though they stated the option was not going away until July. I am aware that AOL is getting tighter with security so I looked over the recommended settings and verified I was using the correct settings.
Sending emails gave an Unknown Error 150. Recently a Mac running Office 2011 stopped sending my emails via the AOL servers.
